Rockstars at Work: 14,262,240 Seeds Planted!!
Travis planting the first row of Seed#04B
Thanks to an amazing helping hand from James Edwards and Travis Dennis (SuperSkunk420), we were able to get all 14,262,240 seeds planted! Although we were late getting everything planted, we should still see some pretty tall plants come harvest time. We would not be able to get it all done if it weren't for these two! Big thanks to Travis for making the trek all the way up to Oregon from Georgia, we would not have been able to do it without your help!
We will periodically post pictures throughout the season to document our progress and show off what we hope to be an amazing first fiber crop!
HEMP!
By Doc Hudson
This record-setting hemp plant was grown in southern California by Hemp Traders. They used a hemp variety called ChinMa, which is specifically grown for fiber. Hudson Farms will also be growing this strain of hemp in order to harvest fiber for dimensional lumber through ODIN Materials, Inc.
Hudson Farms will be planting 75lbs of ChinMa seeds across 11 acres. Our intent is that it will produce enough fiber to produce a stable supply of dimensional hemp lumber to the Treasure Valley!
Planting this many plants will also boost the amount of carbon that is captured in this area and revitalize the topsoil it is planted in. As ODIN Materials sets up shop in Boise, we will be working with local farmers and organizations to make sure that all farms can benefit from this amazing plant! This will further increase the amount of carbon that is put back into the soil. Basically turning air into fertilizer while producing stronger materials for use in several other industries.
If you would like to know more or have any questions regarding our farm and operation, please do ask and we will try to answer to the best of our ability!

Hemp For The Future
Hemp is a miraculous plant with thousands of uses. Uses that can effectively help in areas such as lumber, textile, and energy product supply chains. Many of these uses can benefit the global economy, but most importantly, our planet.
Cultivation of hemp is great for existing agriculture operations. When industrial hemp is grown, it sequesters more CO2 than trees and puts that back into the ground where plants can use it. Harvesting industrial hemp also helps with this as the roots and stems are left in the ground and the retting process returns more nutrients back to the soil. With a dwindling amount of usable topsoil, this process can help rejuvenate the land that food crops and other necessary crops are grown on.
Through rotating a crop of hemp amongst other crops, farmers can expect an income as well as higher yields from their other crops in the following season. Through our partnership with ODIN Materials, Inc., Hudson Farms will be planting several acres of industrial hemp and also work with local farmers to provide them the same benefit. ODIN Materials will be turning industrial hemp fibers into lumber and CBD biomass and other waste products into Hempcrete.
By growing hemp to capture carbon, we are removing carbon from our atmosphere and putting it into materials that we use consistently and any extra goes right back into the growing cycle. Dimensional lumber is used daily for building homes. 2000 sq ft of a home structure requires around 16,000 board feet of lumber which is equivalent to around 22 trees or about an acre.
As ODIN Materials expands, Hudson Farms will as well with a plan to expand in Georgia, Florida, Nevada, California, and Washington while expanding our operations here in the Treasure Valley. ODIN's first processing facility will be set up in Boise, Idaho and that means that all wood produced from this facility will be made from locally grown hemp. Every facility that ODIN Materials sets up, will have a local supply chain. This helps benefit local farmers and cuts back on the amount of travel, reducing the carbon footprint created by other industries. Like the housing industry.
ART and Cannabis
We have strong enthusiasm for art and creation, that was one of the reasons we founded Hudson Farms, we wanted to grow something bigger than ourselves that would benefit the community in the most ways possible. Art plays a large role in society and will continue to do so as long as humans roam the Earth and beyond. We will be taking several steps to highlight art from individual artists from our local community and around the world.
One way we are doing this is through Non-Fungible Tokens, or NFTs. Many have found a way to express their creativity through NFTs and it allows us to see art from smaller artists that we would normally not see. This provides us with an opportunity to help these smaller artists by incorporating their art in many of our products and labels. Art and Cannabis have always been better together, so that is why we hope to share the works of as many of these talented artists as we can!
As a way of building our relationships with these artists and creating a database of artists of interest, we have started an NFT project with all the art created by artists within the NFT community and our founders, Doc and Rebecca! This project will unite many cannabis advocates, supporters, and enthusiasts who create art based on the plant we all know and love!
The Super Tokers NFT project is also an effort to defeat stigmas associated with cannabis, not every Toker is a "pothead", we all have goals and aspirations for a better world. Free from judgment and ridicule, it starts here. As we build we will update with more info.
